He expressed remorse for sending her a breakup letter via FedEx in 1994, calling it "the most insincere breakup you can get."

Stallone admitted that at the time, he lacked the maturity and communication skills to handle relationships effectively. He grew up in a dysfunctional family where love and affection were absent, which hindered his ability to navigate personal relationships.

The FedEx letter prompted a temporary split between Stallone and Flavin, who was shocked and hurt. She later discovered that Stallone had been unfaithful with supermodel Janice Dickinson. However, despite these setbacks, the couple was able to reconcile.

Stallone acknowledges that his rocky upbringing and past relationship failures have taught him valuable lessons. He now recognizes the importance of prioritizing family over work, and has vowed to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.

In a reflection on their relationship, Stallone expressed his deep love for Flavin, saying, "She is my everything, my sun, my moon, everything." Flavin, in turn, has admitted that she initially resisted giving Stallone a second chance but ultimately chose to forgive him.
