AceShowbiz - Elizabeth Hurley and her son Damian Hurley graced the red carpet at the glitzy world premiere of Sir Elton John's new musical, "The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical", at London's Dominion Theatre on Sunday evening, December 1. The event showcased a gala performance in support of the iconic singer's AIDS Foundation.

Hurley, 59, looked sensational in a stunning semi-sheer beaded gown with a plunging neckline, showcasing her enviable figure. She accessorized with chic jewelry, gold accessories and towering platform heels, while carrying a metallic clutch for her essentials. Damian, 22, followed in his mother's stylish footsteps, exuding elegance in a long black leather trench and matching trousers. The mother-son duo posed for pictures and larked around, showing off their striking similarities.

The highly anticipated musical adaptation of the beloved film, which starred Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, took inspiration from Lauren Weisberger's novel of the same name. The plot revolves around Miranda Priestly (played by Vanessa Williams in the musical), a ruthless fashion editor, and her assistant Andy Sachs (portrayed by Georgie Buckland).

Longtime fans of the film have speculated that Streep's character was based on American Vogue editor Anna Wintour. However, co-star Emily Blunt has clarified that the Oscar winner drew inspiration from two unnamed men in Hollywood.

Joining Elizabeth and Damian on the red carpet were a plethora of celebrities. Lily Collins, star of "Emily in Paris", turned heads in a revealing Vivienne Westwood Couture sequinned gown, flaunting her leggy figure and cleavage. Vogue's Anna Wintour looked effortlessly stylish in a navy bejeweled gown and satin emerald overcoat, completing her ensemble with dazzling diamonds and her signature dark glasses.

Designer Donatella Versace, Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish also graced the event. Other notable attendees included Vanessa Feltz, Lulu and Beverly Knight, showcasing their unique and glamorous styles.

Following the performance, Sir Elton John took to the stage and emotionally revealed that he has lost his eyesight due to an infection. The legendary musician, who was assisted by David Furnish, expressed his appreciation for his husband's support, especially during the preview performances.

The film "The Devil Wears Prada" has been rumored to have a sequel in the works. The reported plot will revolve around Miranda Priestly's career in the changing landscape of magazine publishing and her rivalry with a high-powered executive at a luxury group. The cast for the sequel is yet to be confirmed.
