The Grammy Award-winning Canadian rap superstar is set to make a much-anticipated return to Australia and New Zealand in early 2025, marking his first tour in the region since 2017.

AceShowbiz - Drake is heading back to Australia and New Zealand in early 2025 for "The Anita Max Win Tour". The tour kicks off on February 9 at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and will wrap up with two nights in Auckland's Spark Arena on February 28 and March 1. This marks Drake’s first visit to the region since his 2017 "Boy Meets World Tour".
The Live Nation-produced tour will feature seven dates, including stops in Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets will be available for purchase through various presales beginning Tuesday, December 3. The general onsale begins Friday, December 6 at 12 P.M. local time.
Drake revealed the tour dates during a November 24 livestream with gaming streamer xQc. "February 9 for anybody that’s watching from Australia, I'm coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast... February 9 'til like... March something," Drake announced. He humorously explained the tour's name during the same livestream, "Funny enough, it's actually called the Anita Max Wynn Tour," a playful pun on the gambling phrase "I need a max win," reflecting Drake's new "alter ego" introduced during a December 2023 livestream on Kick.
The tour announcement comes at an interesting time as it coincides with Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on February 9 - the same date Drake's tour begins. The two rappers have been at the center of a well-publicized rivalry throughout 2024, trading shots through diss tracks like Lamar's "Not Like Us" and Drake's "Push Ups". Lamar's recent surprise album "GNX" has only added more fuel to this ongoing feud.
In addition to his tour, Drake also excited fans with an update on his forthcoming collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. "Me and Party's album is 75 percent done shout out to PX cooking right now. Album sounds incredible…This album is good; it's the sound that people know and love us for," Drake shared during the xQc livestream.
