AceShowbiz - Jonathan Majors' ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari has dropped her federal lawsuit against the actor, which alleged assault and defamation. Majors was convicted in December 2023 of two misdemeanor counts for assaulting Jabbari in the back seat of an SUV. He was sentenced to domestic violence counseling.
Jabbari filed a lawsuit in March, claiming Majors had defamed her by maintaining his innocence in a "Good Morning America" interview after the guilty verdict. On Thursday, November 21, attorneys for both parties filed a joint notice with the court, dismissing all claims against Majors with prejudice. The attorneys have not commented on the dismissal.
Majors' career faced setbacks after his arrest in March 2023. He was dropped by his management and PR firms, and Marvel cut ties with him following the guilty verdict. Majors was set to star as the villain in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", but the film was scrapped in favor of "Avengers: Doomsday" starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Majors has been cast in "Merciless", a thriller from director Martin Villeneuve, marking a possible career recovery. Another Majors film, "Magazine Dreams", was acquired by Briarcliff Entertainment after Searchlight Pictures dropped it.
Majors has denied the assault allegations and expressed his desire to resume his acting career in Hollywood.
