AceShowbiz - Are Lizzo and Lana Del Rey really beefing with each other? Despite a recent viral post claiming so, there is no bad blood between the "About Damn Time" singer and the "Summertime Sadness" songstress.

Fans were initially sent into a frenzy after a viral post on X, formerly known as Twitter, claimed that the two musicians are feuding on TikTok. The said post, made by account named Drop Pop on Wednesday, November 13, featured a screenshot of Lizzo's alleged comment in Lana's post on the video-sharing platform.

"I'd like to see you back on the charts," Lizzo wrote in the snap. The rude comment by the "Truth Hurts" songstress prompted Lana to reply, "I would love to see you run a treadmill."

The back-and-forth, however, didn't stop. Lizzo hit back at Lana by saying, "I hope that alligator eats your big a**," making a reference to Lana's new husband Jeremy Dufrene, who is an alligator tour guide. To that, Lana wrote back, "you'd know about eating biggie."

The post, which has since been deleted, garnered people's attention. It had over 20 milion impressions, 380K likes and 22K reposts. While the account describes itself as a satyrical take on popular news aggregation accounts, some Internet users fell to the hoax as fans quickly headed to Lana's post to directly check out Lizzo's comments, only to find nothing.

"WHERE IS LASSO??!!!??!?!!!" one comment read. "It was fake?" someone asked. "WAS THE LAZZO THING FAKE," one other similarly questioned.

X, meanwhile, clarified that the exchange was fake. A community note by the platform read, "This is a joke. Lana and Lizzo did not have this exchange. @DropPopNet previously described itself as a parody account in its bio."

Neither Lizzo nor Lana has responded to the beef rumors.
