Lisa Guarino claims that while incarcerated, Martha Stewart promised her a large sum of money, which she allegedly never received, and alleges that the lifestyle guru ignored her at a recent public event.

AceShowbiz - Former prison inmate Lisa Guarino, who claims to have been Martha Stewart's "best friend" during their time at FPC Alderson in West Virginia, has accused the lifestyle guru of failing to fulfill a $1 million promise made while they were incarcerated together.

According to Guarino, Stewart expressed her gratitude for Guarino's friendship and protection in prison, and vowed to give her $1 million upon her release. Guarino alleges that Stewart told her family during a prison visit that they no longer needed to deposit money into her commissary account because she would provide for her.

However, when Guarino was transferred to another facility just weeks before Stewart's release, she discovered that her commissary account was empty. Guarino confronted Stewart about the incident, but claims she was ignored and left feeling devastated. "I could've killed Martha when I found out she didn't keep her word," Guarino said. "She gave me a donut, a big fat zero."

Guarino, who was serving time for possession and intent to distribute cocaine, states that she took Stewart under her wing in prison, providing guidance and protection. She recalls teaching Stewart how to use a microwave to cook prison food and helping her avoid conflicts with other inmates.

After leaving prison, Guarino faced multiple health issues and financial difficulties. She currently lives on a limited social security income of approximately $600 per month. Despite her struggles, Guarino hoped to reunite with Stewart and receive the promised payment.

On November 11, Guarino attended an event where Stewart was promoting her 100th cookbook. She attempted to get Stewart's attention, calling out her name and making eye contact. However, Stewart allegedly ignored Guarino and quickly left through a side exit.

Guarino expressed disappointment and resentment towards Stewart. "Martha blew me off after I saved her life in prison," she said. "She has all the money in the world, but part of me feels sorry for her. At least I have my family."

Stewart's representatives have not yet commented on Guarino's allegations.
