AceShowbiz - Republican singer Kid Rock has expressed his delight over Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election while urging unity among Americans. In a video posted on Friday, November 8, Rock, 53, portrayed the reactions of both his rock star persona and his birth name, Bob Ritchie, to the election outcome.
As "Kid Rock," he wore a fiery red tracksuit, donned a MAGA hat, and smoked a cigar before dropping the mic, grabbing his crotch, and cursing at the camera. However, as "Bob Ritchie," clad in casual attire, he adopted a more conciliatory tone.
"Now is not the time to gloat," said Ritchie. "We must remember that most of our left-leaning friends are good people who want the same things in life as we do but simply think differently on how to get there."
He emphasized the importance of unity and extending an olive branch to "all reasonable people of this great nation." "God has blessed America, and together with President Trump, we will make America great again," he concluded.
Despite his support for Trump, Rock had previously praised Eminem and Taylor Swift for their outspoken political views, even though they differed from his own. "I don't agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe," Rock said of Eminem in October. "Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great."
Kid Rock's election reaction video garnered support from fans, who commented: "f*** yes, MAGA baby!" and "That's how it's done!!!!!." Trump's victory over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the election has been hailed as the "greatest political comeback of all time."
