AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is staying by Benny Blanco's side after he caught COVID on Halloween. Instead of going out to party or roaming the neighborhood to go trick-or-treating, the singer/actress and her boyfriend were staying home on Thursday, October 31.
On the night of the spooky festivity, the former Disney darling took to her Instagram Story to share an endearing video that captured her intimate relationship with the record producer. In the black-and-white clip, Benny appeared to be lying in bed and filming his girlfriend, who sat at end of the bed.
The 32-year-old beauty was seen putting a sock on Benny's bare leg to keep him warm. She then took a jar of Vicks, seemingly about to rub the ointment on Benny's other leg, before the video was cut. Selena posted the video to her Story and captioned it, "When baby gets Covid..."
While Selena and Benny did not get to celebrate Halloween on Thursday night, they had debuted their Halloween costumes earlier. On Saturday, October 26, the duo channeled iconic characters from Lewis Carroll's classic "Alice in Wonderland".
Selena stepped into the role of Alice, while Benny dressed up as the Mad Hatter. The "Hotel Transylvania" star sported a blonde wig, black headband and a faded blue off-the-shoulder tulle dress with intricate details, completing her look with white and black pumps and white socks. Her makeup featured a smokey eye and rosy pink lips. Echoing one of Alice's famous lines, she captioned her post, "Curiouser and curiouser…."
On the other hand, Benny fully embraced his role as the Mad Hatter, as portrayed by Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's 2010 adaptation. Sporting a bright orange curly wig and a painted white face, his costume was topped off with the character's signature bronze top hat with a pink band. He wore a light brown tailcoat with a green waistcoat, a navy blue polka dot shirt, gray pants, and a purple scarf. The 36-year-old artist even added some prosthetics to his look and humorously commented on social media that they made him look like "handsome squidward meets longlegs."
