"Happy 7th birthday to our Remy Roo!" he captioned the series. "You complete our family. We can't imagine life without you and yet it often feels like it was just yesterday that you came into the world! Forever, our little baby girl. Love, all of us." The images captured Remy smiling with a plate of fruit on a yacht, cuddling with her father, and posing with family members.

Joel, 75, is a father of three daughters. His eldest, Alexa Ray Joel, was born in 1985 from his marriage to Christie Brinkley. With his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, he has Della Rose Joel, 9, and Remy.

Just before Remy's birthday, Joel took his younger girls and his wife to see Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" in Miami. He shared photos of the experience on Instagram, including ones with Swift and her mother backstage. In his caption, Joel praised Swift for breaking the seating record at Hard Rock Stadium and for inspiring his daughters. "She is showing our girls all that is possible," he wrote.

Remy and Della have joined their father onstage during his residency at Madison Square Garden in July. They wore matching dresses and sang and danced with him during his performance of "My Life".

Joel has been a longtime admirer of Swift's talent and popularity. In 2023, he compared her fame to that of the Beatles. "Taylor is also a very talented girl, and she's productive and keeps coming up with great concepts and songs, and she's huge," he said.
