AceShowbiz - It's suffice to say that Jelly Roll is no longer using X, which is formerly known as Twitter. On Sunday, October 20, the singer/rapper declared that he quit the micro-blogging platform, which he dubbed "the most toxic negative app to exist ever."
The 39-year-old is done with X as he has had enough of the "mean" things that people say to each other. He also complained the lack of policies that control vile vitriol on the platform, allowing people to spit out anything "with no consequences."
"This is for sure the most toxic negative app to exist ever - PERIOD. Lol," he wrote on his last tweet. "This place is different man, I always heard it was the Wild West on here but man it's insane . It's a safe place for everyone to say mean s**t to each other with no consequences. I'm out lol."
As of press time, Jelly Roll's X account is yet to be deactivated, with details of his April 2009 sign-up still visible on the platform.
The country music star declared he's out of Twitter just days after he vowed to expose the "slimy" music business. "Learned a lot about how slimy the music business is this week, don't worry yall know I'm going to expose it soon," he warned on Friday, October 18. "This whole thing is smoke and mirrors yall. All that s**t Russ be talking about is REAL!"
His previous tweet apparently sparked wild speculation about the industry dealing with demonic things, prompting the 39-year-old musician to respond, "Man yall made a mountain out of a molehill with this one. All these weirdly over dramatic comments about selling souls and satanic weird s**t is just weird . Lol." He went on teasing, "I'll be talking about all this on my wife's podcast soon."
While Jelly Roll will likely be quiet on X for the time being, fans can tune into the next episode of his wife Bunnie XO's "Dumb Blonde" podcast, where he is expected to spill the tea on the music industry as promised.
