During a Boston show, Maggie Rogers paused the concert to honor the late One Direction member Liam Payne, who passed away at 31 after falling from a third floor in an Argentina hotel.

AceShowbiz - Maggie Rogers performed a moving rendition of One Direction's "Night Changes" at TD Garden in Boston on Thursday, October 17, to honor the late Liam Payne. The 31-year-old singer tragically passed away the day before after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Argentina.

Rogers dedicated the performance to Payne, saying, "I've been thinking how precious life is and how quickly things can change. I'm just about the same age, and I wanted to honor anyone who has been touched by One Direction's music."

Accompanied by the piano, Rogers delivered a raw and emotional performance of the chorus, with the audience joining in to sing the heartfelt lyrics. Payne's former One Direction bandmates - Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik - have also shared their grief on social media.

In a joint statement, the band said, "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us."

One Direction has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2016, but Tomlinson has described Payne as the "most vital part" of the band. He said, "Liam was an incredible song writer with a great sense of melody. Thank you for shaping us, Liam."

The prosecutor's office in Argentina has confirmed that Payne's cause of death was multiple traumas, internal and external bleeding, and a cranial injury resulting from the fall.
