AceShowbiz - Over the weekend, Drake and his father, Dennis Graham, joined Shane Philips on stage at a Toronto jazz club, delivering a rousing rendition of T-Bone Walker's blues classic "Stormy Monday".
Drake and Dennis took turns singing the lyrics, backed by Philips' band, Band of People. In a video clip shared by Philips, Drake sings, "They call it stormy Monday/ But Tuesday's just as bad." Dennis then follows up with, "Wednesday's worse/ And Thursday's also bad."
Philips, a singer-songwriter from Ontario, shared a photo of himself with Drake and Graham, writing, "It's not often that I let people up on my stage, but Drake showed up with his dad, and guess what? His dad could sing."
Dennis Graham has a musical background, with his brother, Larry Graham, being a renowned funk bassist. Dennis himself played drums for Jerry Lee Lewis. After being unable to enter Canada for over a decade, Dennis is now making music with his son in Toronto.
This performance is a testament to the musical talents that run in the Graham family and the special bond between Drake and his father.
