AceShowbiz - Hailey Bieber (Hailey Baldwin)'s estranged relationship with her parents apparently affects her and husband Justin Bieber's newborn son. According to a new report, Hailey chooses to keep a distance between her son Jack and her parents, dad Stephen Baldwin and mom Kennya Baldwin.
Started over religious and political beliefs, the tension between Hailey and her parents allegedly began "to break down" further when the model was pregnant. "Hailey's relationship with her family has been eroding for some time now," a source told Daily Mail. "She was closer with her mom, but that started to break down when she fell pregnant because she didn't want to tell her family for months."
The insider claimed that Stephen's post about asking prayers for the Biebers contributed to their strained relationship. "Hailey had a blowout with her family when her dad asked for prayers for Hailey and Justin, and she told him that she did not want him meddling in her life," said the source.
Earlier this year, Stephen made headlines after he reposted a video of Justin. It was the caption that raised people's eyebrows as "Usual Suspects" alum wrote, "Christians please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord."
It was also said that "Stephen told Hailey that she wouldn't even know Justin if it were not for him making the introduction." The Rhode founder allegedly "was not happy about this at all." For those who need a reminder, Hailey first met Justin while backstage on NBC's "Today" back in 2009.
The source continued, "Hailey has wanted to not be linked to the Baldwin name for years and was more than happy to change her last name to Bieber the second she and Justin were married."
The new report came after Hailey revealed in a July interview that she's not super close with her family. "I'm not super close with my family at this point in my life," she told W Magazine at the time. "Because I feel like I'm very independent. I'm my own individual now, and I've built my own family. But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories."
