AceShowbiz - Jessie J allegedly has fallen victim to a number of burglaries targeting luxury houses. It has been reported that the "Price Tag" hitmaker lost a huge amount of money after her mansion was burglarized.
On Thursday, October 10, law enforcement sources revealed that the 36-year-old English singer-songwriter's home in Los Angeles, California had been ransacked. Speaking to TMZ, the sources said that she "called the cops" upon learning of the incident that took place earlier this month.
According to the insiders, Jessie discovered that her mansion had been broken into after she came back to her home. They also told the media outlet that "the burglars smashed a back window to gain entry to the house." After being able to enter the property, the burglars allegedly found a bunch of jewelry.
The thieves reportedly left the area after taking more than $20,000 worth of jewelry with them. Furthermore, it was said that no arrests have been made following the burglary in Jessie's luxury home.
The informants additionally stated that "the investigation remains ongoing." Fortunately, no one, including the "Flashlight" songstress and her 1-year-old son Sky, was harmed during the burglary.
This was not the first time a celebrity's house became a target in a burglary in the past few months. In August, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson made headlines after their mansion was broken into. The wedded couple's Pacific Palisades home, which they purchased in 2010 for $26 million, was burglarized while they were out of town.
Law enforcement officials revealed that thieves shattered glass to access a guesthouse on the property, triggering the security alarm. Despite the alarm sounding, the criminals were able to make their way inside. Luckily, they did not reach the main house. It was unclear what, if anything, was stolen and if any of the criminals were arrested following the incident.
