The 'Love Lies Bleeding' actress is set to star alongside her 'Twisters' co-star in Paramount Pictures' upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Running Man', directed by Edgar Wright.

AceShowbiz - Katy O'Brian has joined the cast of Edgar Wright's "The Running Man" Paramount's adaptation of Stephen King's novel published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The film, written by Wright and Michael Bacall, is set in 2025 in a totalitarian America where violent game shows are used as tools of control.
O'Brian will play one of the contestants on the titular game show, in which teams of killers hunt down participants. Glen Powell stars as a desperate man who joins the show in hopes of earning money for his sick daughter. As the game show's producers and killers discover, this desperate man is not afraid to break the rules.
O'Brian has gained critical acclaim for her breakout role in the crime thriller "Love Lies Bleeding" opposite Kristen Stewart. She has also appeared on "Black Lightning", "The Mandalorian" and "Twisters", which also starred Powell. Her upcoming projects include the new "Mission: Impossible" film for Paramount.
Simon Kinberg, Nira Park and Wright are producing "The Running Man". The film will be released by Paramount on November 21, 2025.
The original 1987 adaptation of "The Running Man," directed by Paul Michael Glaser, starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a falsely convicted policeman forced to participate in the deadly TV game show.
