British singer James Blunt has promised to legally change his name to whatever his fans choose if his re-released album, 'Back to Bedlam', returns to the top of the charts for its 20th anniversary.

AceShowbiz - James Blunt, the "You're Beautiful" hitmaker, has announced that he will commit to anything to achieve a number one record once more with his classic debut album's re-release. As part of his pledge, he is willing to change his name.
On Radio X's "The Chris Moyles Show", Blunt stated, "I've committed to altering my name to whatever the public desires-they have the authority to change it. This is legitimate. I promise to change my name if it reaches number one, on my life and the life of my sole fan, Brian from Glasgow."
Despite his determination, Blunt expressed apprehension about the public's potential decisions, particularly if they opt for a name that rhymes with his current moniker. "Blunty McBluntface?" he joked. "As long as it's not like that."
Originally released in 2004 and reaching the summit of the U.K. album charts, "Back to Bedlam" contains Blunt's timeless single "You're Beautiful". In a previous interview, Blunt disclosed the song's inspiration as a genuine encounter.
Blunt elaborated on the experience, revealing that he had come face-to-face with an ex-girlfriend who was with her new partner. "We caught each other's eyes," he said. "We lived a lifetime in that moment."
Though their paths had diverged, the encounter inspired Blunt to compose "You're Beautiful," which has since become an anthem. "I went home, wrote a song about it, and got a house out of it," he recalled. "So, I'm pleased for them."
As part of his 20th anniversary celebrations, he will tour the U.K. and Europe to support the album's re-release.
