AceShowbiz - "Vanderpump Rules" alum Jax Taylor (real name Jason Cauchi) has formally agreed to grant his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright full custody of their son Cruz via court documents obtained by Page Six. The documents were submitted in response to Cartwright's divorce filing in August.
Taylor, representing himself, signed over his rights to Cruz on September 26. He also checked a box indicating that he and Cartwright were never legally married, despite exchanging vows in a Kentucky ceremony in 2019. Additionally, he listed their Los Angeles home as their only asset but requested that it be divided "at a later time."
Cartwright filed for divorce in August citing irreconcilable differences. She had previously requested primary legal and physical custody of Cruz. The couple began dating in 2015 and welcomed their son in 2021.
In October, a representative for Taylor and Cartwright released a statement regarding the custody arrangement, emphasizing their commitment to prioritize their son's well-being, "Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz, and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son."
Taylor has also acknowledged the importance of co-parenting in a healthy and amicable manner, "She's the mother of my beautiful son. All I want for us is to be amicable and even hopefully really, really good friends. One day."
While Cartwright initially expressed reservations about establishing a healthy co-parenting relationship with Taylor, she has since stated that her focus remains on providing a stable and loving environment for Cruz.
