AceShowbiz - Bronx native Ice Spice has dismissed allegations that she used Ozempic, a prescription medicine for Type 2 diabetes, to shed pounds. In a recent X Spaces stream, she expressed her frustration over the speculation.
"I actually came on here to talk about that real quick," she said. "I wish y'all never learned the word Ozempic. That's one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like, what even is Ozempic? What the f**k is that? Genuinely, what is that?"
Ice went on to explain that she lost weight through traditional methods such as hitting the gym, eating healthier, and staying active on her "Y2K!" tour.
"Like, you lazy b***hes never heard of a gym? It's called a gym, it's called eating healthy, it's called being on tour," she said. "Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all f**king day, it'd be easier to stay big."
In previous Instagram posts, Ice showcased her slimmer figure, prompting some followers to speculate that she had used Ozempic. However, she has since shared photos of herself in the gym and eating nutrient-rich foods to counter the rumors.
Other stars have admitted to using Ozempic or similar medications to lose weight, including Macy Gray, Oprah Winfrey, Alabama Barker, Kelly Clarkson and Tracy Morgan. However, Ice Spice maintains that her weight loss is a result of her own healthy efforts.
