AceShowbiz - Consequence confirms the existence of an unreleased album between Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar, featuring beats from Madlib. Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated collaborative album has been shrouded in mystery since it was first rumored in 2016. Now, Consequence, a longtime member of West's inner circle, has shed light on the project's existence and its potential content.
In a recent interview on the "Bootleg Kev" podcast, Consequence confirmed that he has heard the unreleased album in its entirety. "I just think it just needed to be structured," he said. "I heard the whole thing. It's there. It's there. It's crazy."
Consequence further revealed that the album consists of approximately 40 songs, some of which are produced by legendary hip-hop producer Madlib. The pair originally hit the studio together for a one-night session in 2016, after collaborating on the Madlib-produced track "No More Parties in LA".
Despite West confirming in 2016 that 40 songs had been recorded, none of the material has been officially released to date. However, several leaks have surfaced online, including tracks like "Madlib Freestyle 6", "Liberated (FSMH DEMO)" and "Don't Jump".
Consequence's confirmation adds credence to the rumors surrounding the Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar album. However, it remains unclear when or if the project will ever see the light of day. Hopefully, with West's recent improvements in his mental health, he may be more inclined to release some of these highly anticipated collaborations.
