AceShowbiz - Lorraine Bracco, known for her role as Dr. Jennifer Melfi in the acclaimed HBO series "The Sopranos", has expressed her dissatisfaction with the show's ending.

Bracco, who appeared on SiriusXM's "The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw", admitted that she was unhappy with how her character's relationship with Tony Soprano was resolved. Despite teasing a potential romantic entanglement, the two never pursued it.

Bracco also shared that she believes Tony and Dr. Melfi crossed paths again after the series finale. "I think they bumped into each other in restaurants and stuff like that," she said. "I think part of me wants to believe that she took a moment away from him [and] they got back together [and] back in therapy."

However, Bracco admitted that she never asked series creator David Chase about Melfi's fate after her final appearance. She recalls feeling "heartbroken" upon filming her last take and being equally unresolved with the series finale.

"I thought it was bad and wrong," Bracco said of the ending. "I was annoyed. I told [Chase], 'How do you invest five years into someone's life and just walk away?' I said that is not cool.'"

Bracco's sentiments echo those of other cast members, including the late James Gandolfini. Bracco recalled Gandolfini's disbelief at the finale, " 'That's it? That's it?' " she said. "He couldn't believe it."

Despite the ambiguity surrounding Tony Soprano's fate, Bracco seems to believe that he survived the cut to black. "Honestly, I think they bumped into each other in restaurants and stuff like that," she said, referring to Tony and Dr. Melfi's future interactions.
