AceShowbiz - Mel Gibson, 68, made a rare red carpet appearance with two of his youngest children, 14-year-old daughter Lucia and 7-year-old son Lars, at a special screening of his new movie "Monster Summer".

Gibson posed with Lucia, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, and Lars, who he shares with girlfriend Rosalind Ross. The actor, known for his roles in "Braveheart" and "Lethal Weapon", opted for a navy blue checkered sport coat, white button-up shirt, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers, while Lucia wore a shoulderless red skirt with strappy heels and Lars a button-up white shirt with dark blue jeans and black sneakers.

Gibson is also the father to seven children from his 29-year marriage to Robyn Moore, which ended in 2009: Hannah Mae Brobst, 43; Christian Gibson, 42; Edward Gibson, 42; Will Gibson, 38; Louie Gibson, 35; Milo Gibson, 33; and Thomas Gibson, 25.

Despite facing controversies in the past, Gibson has experienced a career resurgence in recent years. He received Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Picture for his 2017 World War II drama "Hacksaw Ridge". He has also starred in films such as "Machete Kills", "The Expendables 3" and "Daddy's Home 2".

In 2014, Gibson welcomed his ninth child, son Lars Gergard Gibson, with girlfriend Rosalind Ross. The couple began dating in 2014 and confirmed their pregnancy in 2016. Gibson's eldest daughter, Hannah Gibson, is now 36 years old.

Gibson is not alone in becoming a father at an older age. Actor Eddie Murphy welcomed his ninth child at 55, and rocker Mick Jagger had his eighth child at 73.
