AceShowbiz - Tyga's 2018 summer hit "Taste", featuring Offset, has reached a milestone in the music industry, becoming his first diamond-certified record by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The track, which serves as the lead single from his 2019 album "Legendary", has officially moved 10 million units, earning the prestigious diamond certification. The RIAA, which defines one equivalent song unit as equal to either a single digital song sale or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams, announced the news on Tuesday, September 24.

The rapper was quick to express his gratitude to fans on X (formerly known as Twitter), posting a video of himself receiving the RIAA plaque and posing with it alongside EMPIRE CEO Ghazi and COO Nima Etminan. "Taste just went diamond 10x platinum... Thank you to everyone that streamed it and twerked to it," Tyga wrote.

Offset, who is featured on the hit track, also shared his excitement about the accomplishment. "Man this big to me," he wrote in response to a chart data post on X, later adding on his own account, "Went diamond today God is good."

RIAA also joined in with the congratulations, posting "Get a #Taste of your first RIAA Diamond certification! Congratulations @Tyga on this incredible milestone!"

"Taste", produced by D.A. Got That Dope, reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Tyga's third top 10 hit on the chart. Previous top 10 successes include his 2012 single "Rack City" and his feature on Chris Brown's 2014 hit "Loyal". The song also peaked at No. 7 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and topped the Rhythmic Airplay for four consecutive weeks.

The record's success marks a significant achievement for Tyga, solidifying his place in the music industry as he continues to perform. He is currently supporting the second leg of Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2 World Tour", bringing his energetic performances to fans around the world.
