AceShowbiz - Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry, the beloved twin sisters from classic show "Sister, Sister", are facing a unique challenge in their relationship: physical distance. While Tamera resides in Napa, Tia lives in Los Angeles, causing an issue of proximity between them.
Tia's upcoming reality series, "Tia Mowry: My Next Act," delves into her post-divorce life and her struggles with being alone. In a preview clip, she laments, "It's times like this when I wish my sister and I were still close."
However, sources close to the sisters insist that they remain close although the physical distance has presented challenges in maintaining their bond. Tia's divorce from ex-husband Corey Hardrict has also played a role in creating a sense of isolation for her.
As they grew distant, Tamera admitted she found out about the series through the media, saying she "didn't know until the rest of the world." She, however, expressed respect for Tia's decision to keep her personal journey separate. "Tia is living her life right now, and Tia is doing Tia," she said.
Following the end of their children's show "Sister, Sister", the siblings starred in their own reality series, "Tia & Tamera," which aired in the early 2010s. However, Tamera said that she has not been asked to join Tia's new venture. "Uh, she didn't ask me. So I take that as, no! No, she's like, 'this is my story,' and you know, I can only respect that," Tamera revealed.
Amidst these changes, Tia is navigating the complexities of single motherhood, dating, and finding happiness on her own terms. "My Next Act" will showcase her journey as she balances her personal and professional life.
The series premieres on WE TV on October 4, offering an intimate look into Tia's experiences as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.
