AceShowbiz - Lizzo continues to find herself at the center of social media conversation following her physical transformation. After unveiling her stunning weight loss, the raptress has been accused of using Ozempic or cocaine to shed some pounds.
The Grammy Award-winning artist caught wind of the allegation after revealing her weight loss on Instagram. Underneath one of her recent posts, the troll wrote, "did she use ozempic or did she snort coke?" Sharing a screenshot of the naysayer's comment, Lizzo wrote back, "Whyyyy do u follow me?"
Lizzo also made use of her Instagram page to clap back at the allegation. On Friday, September 20, she posted a video of her staring at the camera and looking unbothered. "When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," she wrote over the clip as she mouthed someone saying, "It's like a reward."
In the caption, the 34-year-old reiterated the allegation leveled at her, " 'oZeMpIc oR cOkE?' - a fan." She also exposed the troll by sharing a screenshot of the Instagram profile of the man who accused her of uzing Ozempic or "coke."
Other users quickly came to Lizzo's defense, with one person saying, "And even if it WAS ozempic, ITs OKAY!!!!!" Another agreed and wrote, "Even if it was ozempic , who cares … weight loss is weight loss."
Echoing the sentiment, a third added, "Why are we ozempic shaming? Would you shame someone on antidepressants?" A fourth user pointed out, "When you've literally been posting your workouts as well." Someone else claimed, "Ozempic face is a thing and baby you do NOT have it."
Lizzo was recently defended by SZA, who called out haters for fat-shaming the "Juice" raptress. SZA questioned where the "well-spoken" and "virtue signaling" internet users were when someone genuinely needed defending. She also emphasized that Lizzo's "brand" is not about being fat but about promoting positivity and supporting others.
