In a new interview, Eva Mendes expresses uncertainty about returning to acting after a decade-long hiatus, prioritizing her family and mental health initiatives.

AceShowbiz - Eva Mendes, best known for her roles in films like "Hitch" and "2 Fast 2 Furious", has cast doubt on whether she will ever return to acting full-time. In a recent interview with "Good Morning America", Mendes revealed that she has "kinda felt like [she] did it" after working with renowned actor Ryan Gosling.

Mendes and Gosling share two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, and she has dedicated much of the past decade to their upbringing. She expressed gratitude for having this time with her children and stated on the "TODAY" show that she was "so lucky" to be present for them.

Mendes's current focus is on her new children's picture book, "Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries." The book explores the theme of mental health and addresses the relationship between a young girl and her brain. Mendes hopes to promote open dialogue and conversations about mental well-being through her work.

Aside from her book, Mendes has not appeared in any major motion pictures since co-starring in Gosling's directorial debut, "Lost River". She had previously met Gosling on the set of "The Place Beyond the Pines", where they played a couple.

Mendes remains open to returning to acting if she finds "interesting roles," but she also acknowledges that her priorities have shifted. She is committed to supporting her family and advocating for mental health awareness, and she believes that her current life path aligns well with those goals.
