AceShowbiz - Cardi B and her estranged husband Offset are facing a lawsuit alleging they fraudulently obtained permission to film a music video at a Beverly Hills mansion. The mansion's owner claims the couple misrepresented the purpose of their rental, claiming it was for a TikTok video rather than a full-length music video featuring the property's distinctive architecture.
The lawsuit accuses Cardi and Offset of trespassing, unjust enrichment and intentional misrepresentation, seeking profits from the "Like What" video as well as punitive damages.
Cardi has vehemently denied the allegations on social media, claiming that they paid $10,000 in cash for a 24-hour rental and paid overage fees for exceeding their time. She also stated that the property "had cameras all over" and that the realtors and owners were present during the entire shoot.
"We got pics and videos of them on set!! Now they wanna finesse us trying to say we told them it was a TikTok video when that was nowhere in the contract," Cardi wrote.
The lawsuit alleges that "Like What" has garnered over 26 million views on YouTube in six months, while Cardi recently welcomed her third child with Offset.
