On "The Drew Barrymore Show", Demi Moore provided an update on ex-husband Bruce Willis' condition after his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in 2022. When asked about his well-being, Moore replied, "Given the givens, he's in a stable place."
Moore and Willis, married from 1987 to 2000, share three daughters: Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Talullah Willis. They have remained close since their divorce, with Moore attending Willis' second wedding in 2009. "When I'm in L.A., I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share," Moore said about visiting Willis regularly.
Moore emphasizes the importance of meeting individuals where they are in the present moment, not clinging to who they were or who you want them to be. "What I say to my kids is you meet them where they're at. You don't hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment," Moore explained. "And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness."
Bruce Willis announced his retirement from acting in March 2022 due to aphasia. The Willis family later revealed his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in February 2023. Rumer Willis provided an update on his health in May, stating that he is "doing OK."
Despite his diagnosis, Willis is surrounded by family, including Moore and his current wife, Emma Heming Willis, with whom he shares two daughters. The blended family often celebrates holidays and birthdays together.
