After successfully expanding 'Rocky' franchise with 'Creed' saga, now Michael B. Jordan is stepping into the director's chair once again, and this time, he's bringing a classic heist film back to life.

AceShowbiz - After the success of his directorial debut with "Creed III," Michael B. Jordan is taking on his next significant directing role. According to Deadline, Jordan has signed on to direct and star in "The Thomas Crown Affair" remake for Amazon MGM Studios.
Jordan, 37, will produce the film alongside Elizabeth Raposo under his Outlier Society banner, which has a first-look film deal and overall TV deal at Amazon MGM. Drew Pearce, known for his work on "Iron Man 3" and "The Fall Guy," penned the screenplay.
This marks the third iteration of "The Thomas Crown Affair" on film. The original 1968 version starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway while the 1999 remake featured Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.
In the 1968 film, Dunaway played a private investigator who becomes entangled with a wealthy mastermind behind a bank heist, played by McQueen. The new adaptation will explore a similar storyline.
Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff will also serve as producers, with Alan Trustman, the writer of the original 1968 film, as an executive producer. Plot details for the remake are currently under wraps.
Jordan's previous directorial effort, "Creed III," broke box office records for a sports film debut, grossing over $276 million worldwide. This latest project showcases Jordan's versatility as a filmmaker and his ability to deliver both action-packed sequences and nuanced character development.
With Jordan on board to direct and star, the next step is to find his co-star to share the screen with. Given the success of the previous films, the role is expected to attract top talent.
