Despite a necessary break from training due to her schedule, Simone Biles, the 11-time Olympic medalist, is excited to kickstart the Gold Over America Tour (G.O.A.T.) on September 16 in Oceanside, California. The tour will showcase both men's and women's gymnastics talent and feature iconic gymnasts such as Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Biles herself.
While preparing for the tour, Biles has returned to the gym and has even mastered a new skill, the pommel horse. However, she has announced the retirement of her most challenging vault, the Yurchenko double pike, which was renamed the "Biles II" after her successful landing at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Apart from showcasing her own talent, Biles sees the tour as an opportunity to inspire future generations and give back to her supportive fans. She plans to focus on mental and physical recovery during the tour after taking a break following her impressive performance at the Paris Olympics, where she won four medals.
Outside the gym, Biles and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, are thrilled to move into their long-awaited dream home. Despite the upcoming NFL season, Biles is confident in their bond and looks forward to expanding their family in the future.
