AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne confirms the highly anticipated "Tha Carter VI" is finished and hints at the possibility of "Carter 26". Lil Wayne took to Instagram on September 4 to reveal he had completed work on the latest installment of his legendary "Tha Carter" album series. In an Instagram video, he stated, "I'm working on Tha Carter VI. I just wanted you to know that."
However, with a mischievous grin, he then added, "Honestly, I'm finished. I was lying. We're working on 'Tha Carter 26'."
Since the release of "Tha Carter III", fans have eagerly awaited the next installment in the series. In recent weeks, Wayne has teased numerous features and collaborations, including appearances on tracks by Cordae, Yella Beezy, Kanye West, Lil Yachty, DJ Premier, Flau'Jae and Rob49.
In addition to the album announcement, Wayne also revealed the return of his annual Lil Weezyana Fest. The festival, scheduled for November 2 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, will feature a highly anticipated Hot Boys reunion.
In 2023, Wayne released "Tha Fix Before Tha VI (Bonus)", a mixtape featuring collaborations with DMX, Jon Batiste, euro, Cool & Dre and Foushee. The mixtape served as an appetizer for fans awaiting "Carter VI".
