AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann may be more than just friends despite recent denial of their dating rumors. Fueling speculation about their alleged romantic relationship, the twosome has been spotted together in New York City.

On Sunday, September 1, the actress and the German financier returned to NYC following a weekend break. The pair were photographed arriving at a heliport with her sons Deacon and Tennessee in tow.

Reese looked chic in a white tank top and jeans, which she paired with heels and a striped sweater slung over her shoulders. She added a pair of sunglasses and her blonde hair was let loose as she disembarked.

The "Big Little Lies" star appeared to be in good spirits, flashing a smile while walking side-by-side with a hunky guy who seemingly escorted her to her car. Her two sons were walking closely behind her.

Deacon, whom she shares with her first ex-husband Ryan Phillipe, wore a white T-shirt with cargo pants. The 20-year-old kept his head low while wearing a black cap and having a backpack slung over his shoulder.

Tennessee, whom Reese welcomed with her second ex-husband Jim Toth, sported a more casual look in a gray Nike T-shirt and pink shorts. He also carried his own backpack while completing his ensemble with a pair of white socks and black shoes.

Oliver, who arrived shortly after Reese, wore green cargo pants and a black polo shirt. He also put on a pair of black shades, a wrist watch and black shoes while carrying what looks like a blue jacket.

Reese first sparked dating rumors with Oliver, who is a founding partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm, after they were spotted together in late July while out on a dinner date at L'Artusi in the West Village.

The pair reportedly flew into the city via helicopter and spent the most of the weekend together. At the time, a source told Daily Mail that the two had been quietly seeing each other for months.

However, another insider quickly debunked the dating rumors. The source told PEOPLE that the two are just friends and seeing where things go. The 48-year-old actress "is taking things slow when it comes to dating," a source said. "She enjoys it but doesn't want it to be a big focus. She's busy with work and her son," they added. "These are her biggest priorities."

Both Reese and Oliver are newly single following their respective divorces. The actress' divorce from Jim was finalized in August 2023. Prior to marrying the CAA agent, she was married to Ryan from 1999 to 2008. In addition to her son Deacon, she shares 24-year-old daughter Ava with her "Cruel Intentions" co-star.
