AceShowbiz - Rory Feek, 59, has refuted allegations made by his older daughters, Heidi, 37, and Hopie, 35, regarding the well-being of Indiana, 10, who has Down syndrome. In an Instagram post, Heidi expressed concerns about Indiana being left unsupervised on a highway, while Hopie suggested there were concerns about her care.
Feek claims that Indiana is safe with him, but has restricted her overnight visits with her sisters due to their refusal to respect his wishes regarding her upbringing. He believes in conservative Christian values, while his daughters hold different beliefs, exposing Indiana to content he finds unacceptable.
Feek also addressed allegations that Indiana was left with members of the Homestead Heritage group, which has faced accusations of child abuse. However, he clarified that the group is not a cult but an "intentional Christian community." He added that Indiana stayed with two families while he was on his honeymoon, and that she had a positive experience.
Heidi and Hopie responded on Instagram, stating they had been trying to contact Feek for months. They also shared a screenshot of unanswered text messages and audio of a phone conversation where they allegedly begged him to attend family therapy.
Feek's first wife Joey passed away from cancer in 2016. He subsequently married Rebecca, Indiana's former school teacher, in July 2024.
