Missy took to X, formerly Twitter to share a picture of Fatman Scoop. Alongside the snap, she wrote, "Prayers for Fatman Scoop family for STRENGTH during this difficult time. Fatman Scoop VOICE & energy have contributed to MANY songs that made the people feel HAPPY & want to dance for over 2 decades. Your IMPACT is HUGE & will be NEVER be forgotten."
Ciara, in the meantime, penned, "Rest Easy at @FatmanScoop! You were truly one of the best voices in hip-hop!" The mom of four added, "I'm so glad I got to experience your greatness! We will all miss you greatly."
Ludacris, for his part, turned to Instagram to honor the late emcee. "Scoop was one of those people that reminded you what the word LOVE Truly means. It's an ACTION, and with his ACTIONS he exuded the PUREST form of Passion For HIP HOP. Every human being that he came Into contact with felt that LOVE & that PASSION. THIS is the Type Of LEGACY WE should ALL continue from here on until ETERNITY," the "Fast and Furious" actor stated.
Also remembering Fatman Scoop was Questlove, who shared a lengthy message on his own account. "I want to thank FATMAN SCOOP for being an embodiment of what hip hop was truly about. To just forget about your troubles and live in the moment and allow joy in," he wrote in some part. "So sad to see you go my brother. You will be missed but you will NEVER be forgotten. *raises $100 bill in honor of your memory*."

Emergency medical services responded to the scene at Town Center Park around 8:33 P.M., as per TMZ. Paramedics performed CPR on the scene before transporting him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Fatman Scoop is renowned for his hit 1990s club anthem "Be Faithful" and guest appearances on popular tracks like Missy's "Lose Control" and Mariah Carey's "It's Like That." He also collaborated with artists such as Timberland, Magoo, Nick Cannon and Skrillex.
