AceShowbiz - Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's kids are heading back to the classroom! On Wednesday, August 28, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum, 43, shared a few photos on her Instagram as her children embarked on a new school year. Mellencamp Arroyave shares daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10, with husband Edwin Arroyave. She is also stepmom to Edwin's daughter Isabella, 15.
In one photo, all three young siblings were captured wearing matching white polo shirts and navy bottoms, with Slate standing protectively behind Cruz and Dove. Little Dove, with her charm, held up two peace signs for the camera. Mellencamp included a video capturing Dove's enthusiastic departure, shouting, "Bye, I'm leaving for school!" as she walked out the front door.
"Back to school I cried because…?" Mellencamp Arroyave began her caption. "1. I'm going to miss them. 2. They're getting older which means I am too. 3. I can actually work in peace throughout the day. 4. A combination of all the above."
The back-to-school season brought a mix of emotions. "They say Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Is it really though? Back to school is bittersweet because while you are grateful you don't have to answer 9 million questions a day, you miss them as soon as you drop them off," Mellencamp wrote in another Instagram update.
