AceShowbiz - TLC's T-Boz is back on social media to share a positive update following her recent medical emergency. Having been discharged from the hospital, she posted a new video on her Instagram page to thank fans for their love and prayers while also shutting down "disheartening" speculation about her health scare.

"Thank you for all the love and all the prayers that I got," she began in the video that was uploaded on Wednesday, August 28. Looking in great shape while filming the clip outdoors, she clapped back at "the people who make fun of people's health and stuff." She stressed, "People have died from what I just went through."

The singer, born Tionne Watkins, has been suffering from sickle cell for years, but she clarified that her abdominal blockage had nothing to do with her lifelong illness. "Stop associating everything that has to do with my name to sickle cell. Everything that has happened to me in my life...I am Tionne Watkins. I just happened to have the disease, but it's not who I am and all that I am. Everything that has happened to me, just not have to do with sickle cell," she stated.

The 54-year-old insisted, "It had nothing to do with constipation. No, I'm not on Ozempic." She added, "The ignorance is disheartening to me. It just amazes me how negative the world is and it's so sad."

Educating people on abdominal blockage, she explained, "This can happen to any women that had a c-section or fibrosis from any abdominal surgery. It had nothing to do with what I ate. It had nothing to do with the inside of my intestine. It was the outside."

"I had scarred tissue from a 24-year-old previous surgery and it hit each other cuz your small intestine moved and it just blocked it. And it just moved again and unblocked again," she further shared, saying that she feels "blessed" she's released from the hospital after three days.

While claiming that "life is great" now, she admitted that it was "very painful." She went on describing the "excruciating pain" as saying that she felt her stomach was "twisted," which she wouldn't wish on anyone.

In the caption, she said that she addressed the matter in detail "ONLY BECAUSE ITS OUT THERE..." She continued writing, "THANK U FOR ALL THE LOVE AND CONCERN I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!! But let me help educate some since there's so many new doctors out here and y'all seem to know so much about everything but nothing.... Stay Happy and Healthy .... I'll See Yall Soon At The Rescheduled Shows... I'm Doing Great And Blessed!!! All Pages Until The End!!!"

T-Boz's recent medical emergency was revealed after TLC was forced to cancel their show at the New York State Fair's Suburban Park stage on Friday, August 23 at the last minute. In a press release issued by the group, they said, "Shortly after arriving in Syracuse, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting and intense abdominal cramps. She was immediately seen by a doctor and subsequently taken to the hospital for further evaluation."

"The doctor verified that this was not food poisoning, but an abdominal blockage," the statement added. "Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters. The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition."

Sharing the same statement on her Instagram page one day later, T-Boz assured her followers, "I'm on The Mend!!! This Was Just One Of Those Unexpected Things That I Had No Control Over!" She went on promising, "I Look Forward To Making It Up 2 You All… And Hopefully I'll Get Out Of The Hospital Soon!!! As Soon As Tomorrow If All Goes Well!!! Thank You For Understanding… Blessings Always T."
