AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has caught wind of a lawsuit by her former fan. After being sued by a man named Tameer Peak over "stalker" accusations, the "Anaconda" raptress issued a statement via her attorney, Judd Burstein.
"Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail," the lawyer told TMZ on Sunday, August 25. "He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims."
Judd went on to argue, "He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.
In a lawsuit filed in L.A. Superior Court, Tameer claimed that he has been one of Nicki's most dedicated followers for the past 15 years. He said he even helped the artist in the promotion of her latest album, "Pink Friday 2".
However, things turned south in 2017 when Nicki allegedly went through her "Nicki hate train" phase. It prompted the femcee to accuse fans like Tameer of being paid moles sent to sabotage her.
He claims Nicki publicly ridiculed him, inviting him to her hotel on one occasion to film and embarrass him in front of 100,000 viewers on Instagram Live.
The plaintiff accused Nicki of ridiculing him on multiple occasions, including once when she allegedly invited him to her hotel, only to embarrass him on Instagram. In 2020 during Super Bowl weekend, Nicki's husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly battered him.
The most recent occasion listed in the legal filing was just this year. Tameer said he received messages from people close to the mother of one, claiming he was harming her reputation among fans and that she wanted him to "stop saying dumb s**t" about her.
