AceShowbiz - Melissa Gorga expresses uncertainty about her future on"'Real Housewives of New Jersey" following the divisive season 14 finale and subsequent post-finale special. On the podcast "Two Ts in a Pod", Gorga reveals that she's prepared for any outcome, including not being brought back for the next season if her co-star and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice returns.
"I am fully prepared for anything," Gorga states. "If Bravo decides to go that route and the darker route, then I need to say that is not a show that I want to be on anyway."
Gorga clarifies that while she enjoys being on "RHONJ", she does not want to endure the toxic environment present in the past. "I do want to be on the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'. I don't want to be on that toxic s**t," she adds.
If Giudice's husband, Luis Ruelas, were no longer part of the show, Gorga suggests she would not miss it as much. She emphasizes that she has spent 14 years on the Bravo series and believes it's not sustainable to stay indefinitely.
"You can't do it forever; you don't go and be on a TV show for 50 years or 20 years," Gorga says.
However, she hopes that Bravo will revitalize the show with "fresh and new" elements while acknowledging the possibility of her departure. "If they choose that route [of not keeping me], then I don't want to be on it anyway," she concludes.
Andy Cohen, the franchise's executive producer, has stated that "RHONJ" is on pause and that cast changes have not yet been finalized. Cohen has hinted at bringing in new faces while potentially retaining some existing housewives. The future of Gorga's involvement in the series remains uncertain.
