The 'Outside Today' rapper has pleaded guilty to a federal gun charge and successfully moved his trial from Baton Rouge to Utah for sentencing, giving him more control over the case

AceShowbiz - NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again has made significant updates in his federal gun case, including pleading guilty and moving the trial to Utah. According to court documents, YoungBoy has entered a guilty plea to possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The case will then be transferred to the District of Utah for further proceedings.

YoungBoy's move to Utah seems strategic, as he faces multiple criminal charges in both Cache County and Weber County. By pleading guilty in the federal case, YoungBoy may avoid having the case returned to Louisiana. However, he must maintain his guilty plea after the transfer.

In October 2023, YoungBoy's attorneys argued that his house arrest had negatively impacted his mental health and requested that he be allowed to travel to a recording studio. However, the judge largely denied this request.

Despite the guilty plea, YoungBoy's legal troubles are not over. He still faces charges in Utah related to an alleged prescription fraud ring. These charges include identity fraud, obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity, and possession of a controlled substance.

YoungBoy was arrested in April for allegedly running the fraud ring while under house arrest for the federal gun charge. He was granted release on bond in May, but the trial date for the prescription drug charges remains unknown.

Meanwhile, YoungBoy's fans have been known for interrupting his virtual court hearings, leading to chaotic proceedings. It remains to be seen how they will react to the guilty plea and the move to Utah for sentencing.
