"I was sick for 3 weeks, but I pressed through, with the grace of God. I met some amazing people on this new journey and gained a community, love, and unbearable support from my family. Happy 60 days today to me ❤ If you are struggling, I'm here to help and talk about my journey."

Zion's journey has been an inspiring yet challenging one. Fans of her mother, Fantasia Barrino, remember Zion as the little girl with braids and beads cheering her mother on during her victorious run on season three of "American Idol".

Fantasia, who became a single mother at the age of 17 after experiencing a tumultuous teenage life filled with hardships, including an abusive relationship and dropping out of school, has always been open about her struggles and triumphs.

Fantasia's rise to fame was a turning point for the Barrino family. However, during her time on "American Idol", producers advised her to keep her teenage motherhood under wraps. "They would come to me and say, 'Hey, maybe don't speak so much about your daughter,' because I was young," she reflected. "I wasn't quite giving off the 'Idol' vibe."

Despite these pressures, Fantasia emphasized, "I wanted people to see me. Yes, I had a child at a young age. Yes, I dropped out of school. I'm here with my gift and my future looks bright - maybe you can't see it, but I can."

She enrolled at Central State University, an HBCU in Wilberforce, Ohio, in 2023. "I want to break generational curses," she explained. "When it comes to my family, my girls, my children, I want to show them that no matter what she's been through, you can always get back and go after it again, and that's what I am doing."
