AceShowbiz - Liam Payne has found support in his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. The former One Direction member faced backlash for his recent remark about her look, but Kate herself was not offended by it.

In a new TikTok shared on Wednesday, August 14, Kate claimed she told Liam to make the comment because she thought it was funny being fully covered for their night out. She added, "I'm 25, I kind of just wear what I want. He doesn't care at all what I wear."

The English native landed in hot water after his lady posted a TikTok video on Tuesday, August 13. The clip saw the couple showing off their looks as they headed out for a sushi date night. "We're back in England," she said, "so we're super happy."

For the outfit, Kate opted for a Revolve button-up top that she paired with trousers. Completing her style a red quilted Chanel bag and Dior heels. As for Liam, the musician donned a white-and-blue top and black baggy pants.

Liam apparently loved Kate's modest look for the night out. "You look good," the "What Makes You Beautiful" hitmaker told the blonde beauty. "Nice and covered up for once."

Upon catching wind of the video, fans could not help but be shocked by Liam's comment. " 'For once' is actually insane," one noted. "I don't want to be with someone who doesn't cover either but I kinda have to defend her here. Why are u with a girl who clearly isn't ur type? Idk why men date women they hate," another commented.
