Over the years, the Oscar-winning actress has suffered numerous physical setbacks, including broken bones and concussions, while performing stunts for action films.

AceShowbiz - Halle Berry is no stranger to physical hardship when it comes to her craft. The Academy Award-winning actress, known for her dedication and intense commitment to roles, has sustained numerous injuries throughout her career.

During the promotion of her upcoming Netflix film "The Union" alongside co-star Mark Wahlberg, Berry detailed an extensive list of injuries. She revealed, "I've been knocked out three times, got an arm broken, broke ribs twice - two ribs one time, three ribs another time - broke a tail bone, broke two toes, and a finger. This finger," Berry said with a laugh, showcasing her middle finger.

The three broken ribs from "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" (2019) and another two from her MMA drama "Bruised" (2020) are some of Berry's notable on-set accidents. One particularly impactful injury took place on the set of "Gothika" in 2003, when a broken right forearm delayed production by several weeks.

Wahlberg's injury repertoire isn't as extensive but still significant. "Torn meniscus, separated shoulder, ego bruised quite a few times," the "Ted" star revealed. In a humorous contrast, Wahlberg mentioned learning crochet, ballet and tango dancing for his role in "The Other Guys".

Aside from her injury stories, Berry spoke about the grueling challenges of certain roles. Portraying a free diver in "Dark Tide" (2012) required her to hold her breath underwater for nearly two and a half minutes, a feat she described as feeling like "eternity." Moreover, her tenure as Storm in the "X-Men" franchise demanded long periods of suspension in the air. Reflecting on it humorously, she said, "It felt like the guy had gone to lunch," while she was left hanging mid-air.

The "Catwoman" star also boasted an impressive list of martial arts skills amassed over her career, including jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, kickboxing and taekwondo. These skills are not only a testament to her dedication but also her resilience in the face of physical challenges.

Berry and Wahlberg's upcoming film "The Union", set to release on Netflix on August 16, promises high-stakes espionage and intense action, with Berry playing a U.S. intelligence agent who enlists her high school sweetheart, portrayed by Wahlberg, into a perilous mission.

Indeed, both actors' willingness to endure physical trials showcases the demanding nature of action roles in Hollywood and highlights the extraordinary lengths they go to bring realism and excitement to their performances.
