In a new report, the insider also notes that the 'SNL' alum wanted to prioritize his mental health even if he had to cancel his tour which led to fans' disappointment and financial loss.

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson's failed romance with Madelyn Cline apparently took a toll on him. According to a new report, the "Saturday Night Live" alum checked himself into a rehab facility last month due to his heartbreak and "unpredictable" behavior.

A source told Daily Mail, "Pete is miserable most of the time." The insider noted that the only time the comedian is "truly happy" is when he's working and on stage performing. However, his "Prehab Tour", his only project at the time, was canceled even though it was supposed to run until October.

"Pete doesn't have stability in his life right now. He does better when he has his s**t together and things are stable," the source said of "The Suicide Squad" actor. "For the first time in his career, things are unpredictable and that's what's been so stressful for him. There is a lot of pressure that comes along with uncertainty and that stress can lead to bad thoughts."

The insider added that Pete wanted to prioritize his mental health even if he had to cancel his tour which led to fans' disappointment and financial loss. "He has to be in the right mind-set to get on stage and perform in front of thousands," the source explained. "He kind of puts on a front on stage because that's his happy place, so sometimes people don't even know what he's seriously going through because he jokes about his life and he laughs along with his fans."

Pete's family and friends showed support to him following his breakup with Madelyn. "Some of his closest friends didn't even find out about him going back for treatment until they read about it in the news," the source noted. "No matter what, they are wishing him the best and know that he'll bounce back after getting the help he needs."

It was also said that Pete gave him a "wake-up call" about his spending habits. "He was blowing through his money and his friends gave him a wakeup call. He was spending thousands of dollars on private jets and trips," the source claimed.

Prior to checking himself into the rehab facility, Pete allegedly went MIA from work and friends as Hollywood pals turned their backs on him. "Pete has pretty much gotten rid of everyone who once surrounded him.He got rid of his assistant and best friend after he was the best man at his wedding," a source said. "He's become a ghost to his circle of friends."

The report additionally claimed that the former boyfriend also stopped attending work meetings. "He's too much of a headache. He's just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings," the informant divulged. "At least one project has been canceled because of it."
