AceShowbiz - PnB Rock's murder trial has come to a conclusion. Two men charged in connection to the late rapper's shooting were found guilty on Wednesday, August 7.
According to Rolling Stone, Freddie Trone was charged with felony murder, two counts of robber and one count of conspiracy. It reportedly took a jury less than four hours to decide his fate for sending his armed 17-year-old son into Roscoe's Chicken 'N Waffles in South Los Angeles to rob PnB on September 12, 2022.
Another defendant Tremont Jones was found guilty on one count of conspiracy and two counts of robbery. The 46-year-old allegedly told his 42-year-old pal of PnB's whereabouts on the day of his murder.
The State determined that Trone and his son went to the restaurant after Jones told them. It was said that Trone instructed the teenager to go in and rob the rap star, who later shot the emcee and took his jewelry in front of the rapper's fiancee, Stephanie Sibounheuang and shocked patrons.
Trone's wife and alleged mistress were also charged in connection to PnB's death. The two women, however, pleaded no contest to being an accessory after the fact prior to the trial. As for the convicted men, they will be sentenced at a later date.
Prior to this, PnB's fiancee Stephanie also took the stand. She described the horrific events of September 12, 2022, when a masked gunman entered Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and opened fire on the couple.
Stephanie testified that the shooter approached their table, demanding jewelry worth $500,000. She stated that he threatened to execute her if PnB Rock, whose real name was Rakim Allen, did not comply.
Stephanie said her late partner put his hands up in surrender and turned his attention to protecting her. He pushed her under a table as the gunman began shooting. Stephanie witnessed the shooter repeatedly shooting her man and removing his jewelry.
Despite being distraught, Stephanie managed to call 911 and provide important information. Law enforcement has dismissed suggestions that her Instagram post revealing their location may have led to the shooting.
