AceShowbiz - Steve Burton, best known for his role as Jason Morgan on "General Hospital", has been dating Michelle Lundstrom for a few months now. Lundstrom, a professional cook and former contestant on Netflix's "BBQ Showdown", has been sharing delightful moments from their relationship on social media, much to the joy of their fans.
The couple made their first public appearance together at the Daytime Emmy Awards in June 2024. Lundstrom took to Instagram to share their red carpet experience, posting, "Our first red carpet together. It was a dream of a night from beginning to end. Thank you for all the beautiful kind comments & messages. I'm truly grateful [love]."
Burton's relationship with Lundstrom comes after his turbulent separation from Sheree Gustin. In May 2022, Burton announced that he and Gustin were parting ways after 23 years of marriage, citing that she was expecting a child by another man.
"I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated," he revealed. "She recently announced that she's expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve."
The divorce was finalized in December 2023, with the couple sharing joint legal and physical custody of their children: Makena, 20, Jack, 18, and Brooklyn, 10. Gustin has since given birth to two more children, though she has kept the father's identity private.
Burton and Lundstrom's relationship seems to be blossoming beautifully. For Burton's 54th birthday on June 28, Lundstrom shared a heartwarming montage of their special moments. "Happiest birthday my love @1steveburton. It's a better place with you in this world. Anyone that has you in their life in any capacity is truly blessed," she wrote.
"I think I'll forever be in awe of what an incredible man and human you are. Thank you for wearing the largest fanny pack in Disney & sharing your beautiful life alongside mine. Wishing you a million more special memories & smiles, you deserve it all!"
Burton's public life has been as eventful as a soap opera storyline. Following a controversial exit from "General Hospital" in 2021 due to a dispute over COVID-19 vaccine guidelines, he made a triumphant return to the show in March 2024. During his hiatus, he also appeared on "Days of Our Lives".
As young fans of soap operas and celebrity lifestyles continue to follow his journey, Steve Burton's new romance with Michelle Lundstrom is a reminder that even Hollywood's most dramatic stories can have happy new beginnings.
