Despite widespread criticism, the point guard for the Golden State Warriors remains a steadfast supporter of the Canadian emcee who is currently beefing with fellow rapper Kendrick.

AceShowbiz - Stephen Curry is one of the greatest basketball players of his generation and a close friend of multi platinum rapper Drake. In a recent interview with GQ Sports, Curry weighed in on the public's disapproval of Drake following Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping diss track, "Not Like Us".
"I'm a big Drake guy," Curry asserted. "I've been for a long time." Curry recognized the backlash against Drake, but his fandom remains unwavering. "I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that," he said. "But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely."
Curry's unwavering support stands in contrast to other celebrities who have distanced themselves from Drake. LeBron James, who had once expressed admiration for Drake, publicly hyped Kendrick Lamar and even attended his "Pop Out" show.
Curry's loyalty to Drake may be influenced by the bizarre synergy between Kendrick Lamar and his Golden State Warriors. Fans have noticed that whenever Lamar releases an album, the Warriors tend to win an NBA title. This has occurred in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, despite Lamar being a Los Angeles Lakers fan.
While Curry has never publicly discussed Kendrick Lamar, the Compton rapper appears to have some connection to the Warriors. It remains to be seen whether this streak will continue if Lamar releases an album in 2024.
