AceShowbiz - Kris Jenner, 68, has taken a significant step in her health journey by undergoing a hysterectomy after doctors discovered a cyst and a "growing" tumor. In the July 11 episode of "The Kardashians," Jenner shared her plans with friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick, initially hoping to just have her ovaries removed. However, a subsequent phone call from her doctor led to the decision to also remove her uterus as "the best thing" for her health.
"I'm gonna have a hysterectomy," Kris confided to her friends. "It started out as just getting some ovaries removed, and then today I got a phone call."
Despite the gravity of the situation, Jenner's focus remained on the positive impact her six children - Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner - have had on her life. "I'm going to remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life," she added.
The emotional weight of the decision was palpable. In a confessional, Kris revealed, "I'm very emotional about it because when you're young, you start talking about wanting a family. It was all we talked about literally for 40, 50 years. So, here we are now talking about it again, and it's the other side of the process."
Kris' daughters, Kim and Khloe, sought to lift her spirits by throwing a party ahead of her surgery, emphasizing their family's unity and support during challenging times.
In a teaser for the July 18 episode, Kris was shown recovering at home, expressing relief and gratitude. "I'm done with my surgery, and I feel great!" she told Scott Disick while resting on a tan couch in red silk pajamas. This marked the end of a trying chapter but opened a new page in Kris Jenner's life, showcasing her resilience and unwavering love for her family.
Despite the success of the surgery, Kris did not shy away from reminiscing about her pregnancies. "I loved being pregnant, loved loved loved being pregnant. I do mourn not ever being able to be pregnant again. It was just this delicious time in my life where I felt like everything came to a halt. Life was beautiful. It was the best time of my life, the best years," she nostalgically shared.
Kris Jenner's candidness about her health journey, combined with her family's solidarity, offers a poignant reminder of the strength found within familial bonds. As viewers continue to follow "The Kardashians," Kris' story serves as an inspiring testament to facing life's adversities with courage and love.
