AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has canceled her show in Romania. Taking to social media, the "Anaconda" raptress revealed that she was forced to pull out of the SAGA Festival on Sunday night, July 7, due to protests in the area.
"Out of concern for the well-being of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security detail not to travel to Romania's festival tonight due to safety concerns regarding protests in the area," the 41-year-old wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "I look forward to seeing you all at another time."
"As a mom, I have to make sure I'm making sound decisions for me to make it home to my son and for my team to make it home to their families," she continued. "To not heed the advice of security at this time is simply not what I think I should be doing. I love you and thank you for your understanding and support."
Nicki went on to note, "I am very excited to see my fans this Friday in London for another very special headlining show at Wireless Festival."
The cancellation arrived one day after Nicki showed up late at her Ireland show. The "Super Freaky Girl" hitmaker had a gig at Malahide Castle near Dublin on Saturday night, but her show was delayed while concertgoers waited for her in the rain.
Once Nicki showed up about an hour and a half late, she only performed for about 45 minutes before the 10:30 P.M. curfew brought things to a disappointing halt. Neither Nicki nor MCD Productions, who puts on events at the venue, has publicly commented on the fiasco, though the mom of one has been tweeting a lot of photos of Chucky.
