AceShowbiz - Pop superstar Justin Timberlake and golf legend Tiger Woods are expanding their entertainment empire across the Atlantic, setting their sights on the historic town of St Andrews, Scotland. Their latest venture will see the beloved New Picture House Cinema transformed into a high-end T-Squared Social location, following the success of their New York City flagship.

The upscale sports bar will feature state-of-the-art sports simulators, duckpin bowling, and darts while preserving two original cinema screens to honor the venue's rich history. Fife Council has approved the project, praising its potential to revitalize the area and create 40 to 45 new jobs.

The renovation will allow locals to "experience a broader range of cinema, dining and entertainment" and will be "crucial in helping to secure a cinema offering going forward." The project's terms of approval require work to begin within the next three years.

For Timberlake, the St Andrews location holds special significance. The "Mirrors" singer has played on the legendary links in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Christopher Anand, CEO of Nexus Luxury Collection, the real estate venture behind T-Squared Social, stated that they are committed to respecting the theatre's legacy while creating a modern entertainment destination.

Despite facing legal trouble with a DWI arrest in New York, Timberlake has expressed gratitude for the continued support of his fans. Woods also has a connection to St Andrews, having played the Old Course at the 150th Open Championship in 2022. He hopes that T-Squared Social will be a welcoming place for both locals and tourists.

The New Picture House Cinema first opened in 1930 and seats 700 people. Key features such as the ceiling, walls, and stage will be preserved in the change of use. The bar will be open seven days a week, bringing new life and longevity to the site.

Despite some initial opposition from residents, the owners of the cinema welcomed the bar proposal, as the venue was no longer a viable stand-alone operation. T-Squared Social St Andrews will offer a unique blend of entertainment, helping to preserve St Andrews' cinema heritage while adding a modern touch to the historic town.
