AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg, renowned for his dedication to his roles, has once again gone above and beyond for his latest film "Flight Risk". The 53-year-old actor recently showcased his dramatic new look for the movie, featuring a shaved middle part.
Wahlberg shared a shirtless photo on Instagram, highlighting his commitment to authenticity. "No bald cap for me," he captioned the post. "We go all in."
The transformation is for the Mel Gibson-directed action thriller "Flight Risk". In the film, Wahlberg plays a balding pilot tasked with transporting an air marshal (Michelle Dockery) and a fugitive (Topher Grace) to a trial. As tensions rise on the plane, suspicions arise about Wahlberg's character.
Wahlberg explained that he shaved the top part of his head daily for the role. "I shaved the middle and left the horseshoe around the sides," he said. "They would shave the top close to the scalp every day because we didn’t have any stubble or anything."
His commitment impressed his family, with his wife Rhea Durham finding the look amusing, while his children found it hilarious.
This is not the first time Wahlberg has fully committed to a role. In 2022, he gained 30 pounds in six weeks for the film "Father Stu".
"Flight Risk" will hit theaters on October 18. Fans have praised Wahlberg's dedication, with many expressing admiration for his willingness to go the extra mile for his craft.
