AceShowbiz - Keith Lee apparently wasn't thrilled to receive a rose from Taraji P. Henson after her mishap at the 2024 BET Awards. Following the awards ceremony, the TikTok influencer took to the video-sharing app to suggest that he's not happy after the host failed to recognize him.
In a Monday, July 1 post, Keith could be seen dropping the rose that he got from the "Power" star to the ground. "Our name will be known in every room it's supposed to be, when it's supposed to be, how it's supposed, with no confusion. God is amazing," he wrote over the video, which has since been deleted.
Fans quickly blasted Keith for the post with one saying, "Keith don't get corny about a honest mistake." Another noted, "Omg it's not that serious!! She even apologized for the mistake

Someone added. "Ewwwwwwwaaaaaaaaa he literally pulled his phone from his pocket, press the camera app, recording him dropping the rose, opened tiktok, uploaded the video with a caption & watch it load to upload lmaoooooooo." One other pointed out, "Hosting a live awards show is tough… you depend on producers for segments, jokes, skits.. a lot of names are thrown at ya.. it was a mistake and he should give grace that they tried to include him in the bit…."
Keith's post came after a mix-up done by host Taraji. That night, the actress went around the audience seats to give "people their flowers" as a way of celebrating them. At one point, she headed to the food critic and his wife Ronnie Lee and that was when things went south.
Taraji mistook TikToker Jordan Howlett, who is known as Jordan Thee Stallion, as Keith as she tried to get flirty with him. "Mr. Keith Lee, I know what you're thinking right now, this is about a 10.9 outta 10?" she asked Jordan, who often draws comparisons to Method Man. Jordan was puzzled by the question before he pointed to Keith who was sitting on the other side of him.
Noticing her mistake, the actress quickly said, "I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I'm so sorry." "The Color Purple" star continued, "You fine, too. So call me. Give him his flower."
